Gerassimos Spyridakis
CEO
Gerassimos has over 25 years of experience in wealth management. He has served as Global Head for Bank Julius Baer & Citi Private Bank overseeing +60 countries, including Greece, Israel, Monaco, Turkey and the African continent. He is currently Chairman of the Swiss Alpine Chapter of the Young President Organization (YPO), Chairman of the MIT StartSmart Southern Europe start-up accelerator program and a co-founder, investor & mentor in several tech startups with an emphasis in AI and the MedTech space.
Gerassimos Spyridakis
Chief Executive Officer & Founder
Gerassimos brings 28 years of experience in private wealth management, having held senior leadership roles including Global Head of Southern Europe, Israel, Monaco, Turkey, and Africa at Bank Julius Baer and Citi Private Bank. He serves as Chairman of StartSmart Central & Southern Europe (an MIT-affiliated startup accelerator) and is a co-founder, investor, and mentor to multiple technology ventures, with a focus on AI, robotics, and MedTech.
He is an alumnus of Harvard Business School, a member of YPO and the CEO community, and is actively involved in global initiatives across impact and the arts.
Dirk Weidmann
Macro Economics & Strategy
Dirk has over 30 years of experience in investment, transaction and portfolio management at several prestigious financial institutions. Prior to joining Spheric, Dirk served as the Global Chief Investment Officer for Rothschild Bank & Trust. He has also acted in several top management positions at SBC (UBS) and as Global Head of Research & Advisory for Bank Julius Baer.
Dirk is an active board member for MAN Investments in Switzerland AG and Duxton Water Ltd in Australia.
Amir Banifatemi
Tech & innovation
Amir is a leading authority on technology investments, having founded, managed and exited several companies and venture capital funds in the space. He is the ex-Chief Innovation Officer for Singularity University and Xprize. He has served as the European CEO for Xprize and the European Space Agency on NASA projects.
Amir is the founder of the AI for Good Global Summit in partnership with the UN, lead curator at TED Conferences and a guest lecturer and adjunct MBA professor at several prestigious universities, including HEC Paris & UC Berkeley.
Yannis Sardis, PhD
Quantitative Investments
Yannis has 29 years of experience in Asset Management and Quantitative Finance. He was a Vice President in the renowned Fixed Income Arbitrage Proprietary Desk of Salomon Brothers-London, and a founding member & Director of Investment at Citi Global Markets-EMEA.
Yannis was a founder/CEO of a Quantitative Hedge Fund in London and has served as a Partner and CIO of Multi-Family-Offices in Switzerland. He had his independent advisory firm in Monaco and been a Board Advisor for European FinTech companies. Yannis holds a PhD in Mathematics.
Anastassia Lescure
Risk and Portfolio Management
Anastassia has 18 years of experience in portfolio management, risk oversight, audit, and quantitative research, having held senior roles as Portfolio Manager at Unigestion SA and Risk Manager at Lombard Odier & Co. Her expertise spans systematic equity strategies, ESG integration, market and credit risk, and operational risk frameworks.
She holds degrees from HEC Lausanne, Sciences Po Paris, the University of St. Gallen and MITx MicroMasters in Statistics and Data Science at MIT. She is fluent in French, English, German, and Russian. Anastassia is a CFA charter holder.
Mann-Tchi Dang
Quant Investment Analysis & Systems
Mann-Tchi is an Investment Analyst at Spheric Capital. He joined Spheric from Vontobel Asset Management where he worked in Fixed Income as an Analyst. Prior to Vontobel, he worked as a Business Analyst in the real estate fund industry at Procimmo SA.
Mann-Tchi holds a Master's degree in Finance from the University of Zurich and a Bachelor's degree in Economics from the University of Lausanne. He brings expertise in portfolio modeling, options pricing and quantitative finance. Mann-Tchi speaks English, French, German, Mandarin and Cantonese.
Rémi Berthon
Private Markets - Advisor
With over 20 years of experience in investment banking and private advisory, Rémi has held senior roles at institutions such as Crédit Agricole, RBS, and RBC, focusing on multi-asset derivatives and complex client mandates. He later founded two consulting firms dedicated to UHNWI and family offices, advising on strategic allocation and co-investment frameworks.
A recognized expert in private markets, Rémi brings deep insight and deal access across alternative asset classes. At Swisseon where he is a founding partner, he channels this expertise to support a new generation of investors with curated opportunities and strategic perspective.
Paul Botje
Private Markets
Paul is an Investment Director at Spheric Capital. He graduated from the University of Bristol with First Class Honors and has worked at several leading financial institutions across the globe, including J.P. Morgan, HSBC Private Bank, and Decisive Capital Management.
In addition to his valuable experience in corporate finance, UHNW investment advisory and portfolio management, Paul also brings specialized expertise in Private Markets (direct Venture Capital & Private Equity), having structured and advised on several multi-million dollar transactions across early-stage, growth & pre-IPO markets.
Catherine Michaud
Administration & Operations
Cathy is a senior Executive Assistant and Office Manager with over 20 years of experience supporting top-level executives in international banking, asset management, family offices, and government institutions across Geneva.
She has worked with leading organizations including Redwood Capital Group, BNP Paribas, Deutsche Bank, HSBC, Lloyds International Banking, and Tribune Capital Partners, providing executive-level support, project coordination, compliance assistance and event management.
Cathy speaks English, French, Italian, Spanish & Arabic.
